Season 5, Episode 2: Podcast on Strike

A Message from Xalior Local Workers Union 242

Due to extreme working conditions in Glasgow, currently, there can be no show this week. Believe us, we’re more sorry than you are. To make up for it, I, Xalior, have written you, our dearest listener this love letter. Unless you’re from Milton Keynes, you can get lost. I’ve been over worked, and just had big dentistry, and under medicated, so I fell asleep. Obviously, without me, dearest lovely listener, you know there is no Xalior and his Dancing Badger, um, I mean hashlugradio podcast. So, I’m sorry, you’ll have to do without.

We’ll return, shortly, with more fun, games, love, laughter, badgers, silly noises, and downright lies as soon as I can muster the soapy frogs.

PS: sod off Milton, I know you’re still here …

An Addendum from UNISON, the Union of Non-Insulated Scottish Opining Neuros

We’re also still evaluating different ways to record the podcast virtually despite the success of our “real world” recording for the last episode — while it sounded great, it doesn’t scale to our distributed presenter configuration. This gives us a wee bit more time to play and make us sound better than before.

Don’t cross the picket lines! Excelsior!

Season 4, Episode 17

No episode this week due to technical difficulties left our master recording unusable. Both Xalior and neuro attempted for several hours to repair the recording for subsequent release, but to no avail. Shame, as it was a good ‘un (aren’t they all?).

We’re back for Season 4, Episode 18 on the 21st of May. See you all then!

Season 4, Episode 9

No episode this week since four-fifths of the presenters were in Amsterdam for a post-New Year trip, and the LR team released Episode 9 at the last minute. We’re back for Season 4, Episode 10 on the 22nd of January. See you all then!

New Feed URLs

In an effort to ensure we can effectively analyse our feed traffic, we’ve started using FeedBurner to manage our RSS and Atom feeds. There are now three feeds, all SmartCast-enabled, so it shouldn’t matter if your RSS or podcast client can read RDF, RSS2, Atom 0.3 or 1.0. The feeds are:

Hopefully this will solve problems some have had using our Atom-based Ogg feed — it should now be accessible using RSS.

If you are using the original feed URLs, please change your client to use the new URLs as above. This does not affect iTunes users who have subscribed via iTunes Music Store’s podcast directory, please do not change your iTMS subscription details!

Welcome to hashlugradio!

Welcome to hashlugradio, the podcast about the podcast! We are here to discuss points raised in the LugRadio podcast by the presenters, and to talk about what’s happening in the LugRadio community. This includes the forums, wiki, and IRC.

Founded by members of the LugRadio community, we are not an officially sanctioned companion to the LugRadio podcast, but to avoid clashes, we will release episodes every second Monday, a week after LugRadio episodes are released.
